Abstract

Complex clinical case of a 65-year-old man with a superficial trophic lesion in the mid-lateral third of the left and right lower limb for one month. After a poor evolution and an inadequate diagnosis, a differential diagnosis was made in which wound nursing experts participated. Finally, he was diagnosed with Martorell's hypertensive ulcer and appropriate care was applied. The case emphasizes the need for multidisciplinary training for all health professionals involved in the wound healing process and the importance of a specific nursing service to treat different types of ulcers.
