Abstract

In this paper we try to reflect on some of the most important aspects that are characterizing the current European economic policy and, in particular, the Spanish case. We analyze the main instruments calls austerity policies, and the impact of the guidelines from the EU institutions in the results of national economic policies. This involves a deliberate inaction in the direction marked in economic policy, because of the lack of a real political and public debate.
