Abstract
With the implementation of the university model, the development of professional profiles has been carried out around the concept of competencies. We take as a reference the definition of competence as a “combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes appropriate to the context. The key competences are those that all people need for their realization and personal development, as well as for active citizenship, social inclusion and employment ”(European Commission, 2007). In this work we have started from the definition of the new model of professional competences of the 21st Century to analyze the differences between the valuation of the same in the teaching profile and the valuation of the own perception of their possession The first part of the paper describes the new indicators of social change and the data that international reports provide about the change to pass in the second part to comment on a descriptive study carried out at.
